I hopefully will find access to a scanner soon. I ended up having to drop out of school because they illegally changed my residency status. Quite a bummer. No problem though, since I was headed down to Portland. I guess it will simply happen sooner rather than later. I'll simply have more time to work until Summer Quarter begins at PSU.

I'll have to wait 2 months until I can buy a scanner.

thats awful about school. It's sad they can get away with doing things like that.

Yah, I know. Thanks for the comfort, greatly appreciated. I am happy though, since I just got a new office chair. Now I can use the office desk and work/draw more. ^_^' Makes me so happy to be productive! ^_^'
:iconmizurahisakura:
=) Oh a new chair is always nice. I need to get one myself. I accidentally broke an arm off mine a while back. It's always good to have something to do. =) I can't wait to see what you draw.

Thanks. Now my only problem is finding a scanner, since I can't afford one, plus a few other problems...-uh...- The worst part is I have drawn like 3-4 pictures in the past few days. Let me think...I think I've done about 10 drawings since my last post. Ironic how when I actually draw it is when I cannot upload them. At least they are getting better. I'm shading very nicely now. Although they are getting more and more realistic and less and less anime. Pretty soon they will be completely realistic. I wonder what I do then? ^_^'

Its always good to improve. =) Since I'm now part of the unemployed I should work on drawing too. I got laid off on Monday. But oh well.

Geez that bites. I know the feeling. I'm about to quit my job to move down to Portland to start school. I turned in my two weeks last Saturday. Good luck finding work. The market isn't as bad as you think, it just requires perseverance and prayer. ^_^'

I actually don't feel too bad about it. The first 1 days i was upset then after that I feel a lot better. It was a pretty bad place to work. I'm going to see about getting some web design classes taken. I figure might as well make myself more marketable while I work on getting into grad school. Plus I like making layouts. I always feel very satisfied when I make a new layout. Good luck with school. =)

Thanks.

By the way, thanks for getting me into Towards the Terra, because it has turned into one the best series I've seen period. Now that may say that I haven't seen that many good series, but I think it is just a good series. The ending might have a few character questions where Keith are concerned, but I thought his character actually made amends well. He finally did something on his own, not controlled by Mother, but only after he realized that humans and Mu may have been made to help each other.

Interesting how they took the ideas I found in Psion, Catspaw, Dreamfall and transformed them into a complete unit cohesion. I like the idea of telepathic connections making for a better, more wholesome future. It does seem like a cool idea. ^_^'

Good luck on the job search and schooling. Personally, I'm just teaching myself at home, with books and the web. It may be harder, but I think the methods are most effective. I did learn one thing that I thought I'd convey. My great uncle, Jim, use to be a college professor in Education. The first thing he said when teaching "when you walk into a classroom, you cannot assume anything, you need to find out what those people know and then teach to that." It's amazing how few people actually do that. It would help education so much. Just because I took a class, doesn't necessarily mean that I know it. If I don't but everyone else does, then we can help you. But if no one knows, then we can work as a team. The key is the class and prof working as a team together for mutual learning. Bizarre how I'm now considering becoming one. I think I just want to help people, somehow. Perhaps education is a way that I can effectively give to others what I was not given. ^_^'

Yeah its definitely a great series and I've seen lots of anime. I like how there is a lot of character growth. And the story is really interesting. I want to try the original manga. Apparently it was written in the 70's. The Mangaka said she got the idea from a dream she had. =) At the time there was a lot of sci-fi about going out to explore, like star trek, Dr who and start Wars so she thought what about a story of people trying to return to earth. I'll have to see about getting the manga eventually. I think Vertical published it in the US.

Your great Uncle sounds awesome. I had this one professor who thought i was an idiot when i told him that I didn't understand this story and couldn't relate to it but everyone else in the class could, turns out i couldn't relate to it because i have Aspergers. But he wouldn't even help me to understand it when i tried to talk to him about it. Teachers should be able to help there students or at least point them to someone who can. I want to be a history professor myself. I think you got the right idea. I'd like to do the same thing.
